India's 18-to-25-year-old voters โ 200 million strong โ have been described by analysts as the most politically homeless generation in the country's history. They distrust BJP, find Congress out of touch, and dismiss AAP as a one-city project. None of these parties speaks to their daily reality: skyrocketing cost of living, no jobs, and a political class that calls them cockroaches in open court. BBC News spoke to 40 Gen Z voters across six cities and found a shared sentiment: for the first time, there is a movement โ even a satirical one โ that reflects their anger back at them with clarity and wit.
