CJP Is Already on University Syllabi โ Researchers Are Studying It as It Happens
Political science and media studies departments do not usually get to study a movement in real time. CJP has changed that: courses at four Indian universities have added it as a live case study this term, and at least nine working papers are in progress on topics from meme-based political mobilisation to the legal status of unregistered digital movements. The Conversation speaks to five researchers about the methodological problem they all share โ how do you study something that has no membership roll, no leadership structure and no way to verify who its 20 million followers actually are? Their answer is reshaping how digital movements get measured.
